Safety Girl is now Made in the USA! Safety Girl is under new ownership in Redmond, WA.

Like most great ideas, the concept for Safety Girl was the result of an evening on a patio having cocktails with friends. That day, soon-to-be co-founder Kim had been searching for a roadside emergency kit for a friend who was constantly driving the stunning Sea to Sky Highway. She searched automobile clubs, hardware stores and department stores and what did she find? Boring emergency kits that were useful, certainly, but not a very exciting gift, and they were missing the most important emergency item of all — chocolate. And so, she wondered — why not create an emergency kit with traditional emergency supplies as well as fun emergency stuff like, of course, chocolate? And thus was born the company's first product, the Safety Girl Roadside Emergency Kit.

In December 2006 Sarah bought the company, and is excited to continue the Safety Girl tradition with other creative emergency kits for women. She has helped make drivers across the world a little safer by providing excellent products and customer service.

In November 2007, Sarah handed off the care and nurturing of Safety Girl to Cathy and the HERO SHOP team. The kits are now available via HERO SHOP.
